Tourism as an excellent Trade

Morocco is undoubtedly a tourist destination par excellence.
Thanks to its coasts which stretche over 3500 km, the richness and the diversity of its nature, its age-old history and etunical diversity, the legendary hospitality of its people as well as its ancient traditions, Morocco has adopted, since independence, for tourism as one of the priority levers of socio-economic development. By means of a rigorous policy based on strong incentives to invest in the sector, the diversification of an offer which meets the needs of tourists, and the continuing adjustement and reforms of legislation to the requirements of tourism industry, the govenment aims to highlight its potentialities and its richness, with a view to reaching the objectives set forth. The achievement of such ambitious objectives passes mainly by the continuing professionalization and improving the tourism trades, namely :

   Hotel trade (and its different units of accommodation);
   Catering (according to its different specialities);
   Travel agencies;
   Tourist transport;
   Tour guides (accompaniment and entertainment).
   Improving the important infrastracture relating to the sector;
   Setting and establishing the security
This professionalization is more than ever pressing due to the fierce competition between all tourist countries which aim at a better positioning on the international tourist market.
Moreover, and at a time of globalization of economies, the destinations which manage to consolidate their positioning on the international tourist market or which plan to conquer other parts of such a market, are the ones which will make of the good quality of various services offered to tourists.
Considering of these issues, Tourism Department makes sure that the sector's professionals include the "Quality" approach in different processes concerning the investing and marketing of our tourist product.
The intervening parties in this sector are first and foremost enthusiastic women and men, who devote themselves to the Moroccan tourist experience.
They have acquired a know-how due to several years of training and practical experiences and developed a sense of professionalism.
We wish these partners perseverance, in so far as they have a great deal of energy and they contribute, everyone according to his speciality, to the moulding of the image of a new Morocco, doing their utmost to make of this essential sector a driving force of the economic development of the country.
