 Agdz City is located in the south-east of Morocco, and exactly between  Ouarzazate and Zagora surrounded by the mountains of Atlas series , its climate character is semi-arid and cold in winter and hot in summer.
 It has been named Agdz (according to oral histories) because it was the center combines of commercial convoys bound for Sudan or coming from, where are stacked in the Agdz to take it some rest and prepara to complete the journey, and was ago called "Okds" and that came from stacking any assembly.Besides, the name was changed from Okds to Agdz.
 Agdz  has a population of about 12.000 thousand people mostly speak Tamazight language, (Tachelhit). And rely in their living mostly on agriculture, the region is an oasis penetrate the Draa Valley, which is the longest river in Morocco with a length of 1200 km and fall in Sidi Ifni. Also,they depend on crop agriculture and some vegetables for domestic consumption to meet the special needs and the rest is sold in the weekly market. But in recent years, and thanks to the influx of large numbers of foreign tourists and even Moroccans were observed that foreigner coming to the region tend to invest in the tourism sector, where it was observed growing camps and guesthouses, many Albzarat competent to sell some jewelery and clothes.
 One of the main attractions for which the region is famous also is the Mount Kisan in addition to many famous Kasbahs (such as Qaid Ali and outskirts. As well, the population are characterized by the hospitality and especially with foreigners because when entring Agdz you will not feel that you are weird or strange.
 A visit to Agdz is a great opportunity for all the tourists wanted to recognize the history and Draa oasis.
