Introduction
  Morocco used to play a relatively a small role in the Mediterranean tourist market, but nowadays, current plans to boost tourist arrivals could change that. The tourism sector is Morocco's second largest source of foreign currency after overseas remittances, bringing in over DH 29,3 billions in 2003 ($3,01 bn) and generating 600.000 jobs directly. It exercises a big influence on other areas such as agriculture, building, trade and especially the services of transport. Hence, Moroccan objectives are to attain 10 million tourists before 2010. However, it has to harmonize stakes of tourist development and town and country planning and to preserve in natural trumps and its heritage which represent its wealth

  Diversity is the key word for the kingdom of Morocco  both in terms of its geography and people. A rich historical legacy has helped to weave strong cultural ties. In Morocco, the modern and the traditional live side by side create a magical impression for all those fortunate to visit. Morocco has a population of around 34 million people composed of Arabs and Berbers and a smaller minority of black Africans has broken down ethnic differences. However, it still has a relatively strong population. Then in terms of geography and climate; with a total of 710,850 sq km and 3500 km of Atlantic and Mediterranean coastline. "Morocco enjoys geographic diversity; the area can be divided into four topographical zones namely the Atlas and Riff mountain ranges, the fertile coastal plains, the desert regions of the nti-Atlas and the Sahara as well as the coastline where population is concentrated. To the north the strait of Gibraltar separates north Africa with Europe by a mere 14 km". In addition, Morocco has a predominately Mediterranean climate. Rainfall is usually concentrated in winter while summer temperature can reach up to 50 C. The state has a very reach cultural and historical heritage, legendary, hospitality and secular tradition of greeting travellers from all horizons.
