Morocco is located in the westnorth of Africa, it is stretched
out over four topographical zones. The country’s climate is almost Mediterranean and rainfall is mostly limited on winter
months especially in January and February. The kingdom also has vast deposits of mineable resources,
including phosphate reserves, along with iron substance, ore,
manganese, zinc, lead, salt, cobalt and silver. The 2010 population
grew to 1.2%, with an average of population reaches 32m inhabitants. A trend
in rural migration has transformed the country into a largely urban
society as a consequence over the last decade, and approximately 60% of citizens nowadays live
in large cities. The population differs roughly 67% Arab, 31% indigenous Berber
and 2% Sahrawi. Modern Standard Arabic is the official language although
its local dialect Darija is the most dominatly used.
The majority of Moroccans are Sunni Muslims, following the local
Malekite rite, which is known for its tolerance and peace. The Kingdom is a
constitutional monarchy governed by a parliamentary system.
