Carpets have been produced in Taznakht since time immemorial, and are the pride of Morocco’s craft industry. Originating in the High Atlas, they are composed of knots on two lines, their deep red, dark green and off-white geometric motifs set against a saffron yellow background.This type of carpet is woven from finely spun pure wool or high-quality cotton, and the pigments used for dyeing are obtained from local plants.
